New York City Phonathon Raises Over $85,000
Last night, $85,635 was raised for Rensselaer at the annual New York City Phonathon. This is the amount pledged before any potential corporate match is added.
New York City Phonathon chairman Henry Scheuer '69 thanks alumni from throughout the Tri-State area, including members of the RCNJ and the alumni chapter in Westchester and Rockland Counties, NY, for their hard work. Alumni from other regional chapters are a large part of the New York Phonathon because of the close proximity of the Williams Club to their places of work.
Henry said, "I look forward to seeing many of you at the New Jersey Phonathon next Monday. Hopefully, we can break the New Jersey record again this year, just as we broke the New York City record again last night." For more information on the New Jersey Phonathon, contact Sandeep Nandy or Dave Aiello.
When corporate matching funds are counted, it is estimated that this group of alumni raised just under $100,000 for Rensselaer in a three hour period.
The following alumni who are regional chapter leaders were in attendance at the New York City Phonathon last night:
- Mike Torre, NYC Chapter President
- Ray Weisner, NYC Chapter Past President
- Michael Wellner, Westchester and Rockland Chapter President
- Dave Aiello, RCNJ President
A complete list of participants will be posted here as soon as we can confirm it.
