RCNJ Tours Duke Estate Gardens, Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 10:30am
Join the RCNJ on Saturday February 26,at 10:30 a.m. for a tour of the Duke Gardens. Developed by legendary philanthropist Doris Duke on her Somerville estate, the 1/4 mile walking tour covers eleven ornamental display gardens combining plants, landscape, and architecture from around the world in one of the world's largest greenhouses.
The tour begins at 10:30 pm. Immediately following, we will have lunch at a local restaurant.

Duke Farms is located in Central New Jersey in Hillsborough, Somerset County.
- From New York and East:
Take Route 80 or 78 West to Route 287 South to exit 17. From Route 287 North, take left lane exit for Route 22 West. Proceed to Route 202/206 South to the Somerville Traffic Circle. Stay right for Route 206 South. Proceed 1.75 miles to Gardens. Immediate right turn after small concrete bridge. The site is 1.5 hours from NYC. - From Philadelphia and South:
Take Route 95 or 295 North to exit 7-B. Proceed on Route 206 North to Princeton. Continue on Route 206 North for 16 miles. Exit at Duke's Parkway East. Turn left at stop sign and proceed through traffic light to entrance. The site is 1.5 hours from Philadelphia. - From Points North and West:
Take Route 80 or 78 East to Route 287 South to Exit 17 to Route 202/206 South to Somerville Traffic Circle. From Route 22 East, take Route 28 to Somerville Traffic Circle. Stay right for Route 206 South. Proceed 1.75 miles to Gardens. Immediate right turn after small concrete bridge.
